Cowdray Gold Cup : A world-class week or weekender
Join us at the House for one of the summer season’s social highlights when our neighbour’s Cowdray play host to the world-renowned British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup.
Cowdray Park Polo Club has led professional polo in the UK and globally for more than a century. And from 16th to 20th July, teams from the UK, USA, Argentina, and Chile will compete in the Cowdray Gold Cup with the stunning Cowdray Ruins as the backdrop to play.
As exhilarating as it is elegant, it’s a few days of skill, strategy and physical beauty.
We’ve arranged full hospitality in The Brooks Enclosure for the semi-finals, Lawns Enclosure & grandstand seats for the finals days as part of our Cowdray Gold Cup experience. In keeping with the up-scale nature of the event, we will be transporting our guests to the matches by Bentley and our VIP’s will stay in our master bedrooms.
Our 5-night stay includes access to both the semi-finals on 16th July and finals on 20th July along with Cowdray Park Polo Club’s evening headliners on the 18th and 19th July for ‘Showtime’ and ‘Ibiza Night’. ‘Showtime’, hosted by Dawn Gracie, will bring Burlesque and glamour to the Lawns Enclosure while celebrated DJ duo Mark Hobbs and Simon Horn will drop noughties bangers on Saturday night. We’ve also organised spa treatments to ensure your party match the occasion as well as a private tour and tasting at the Roebuck Estate.
As a VIP of the House, we will be serving a Sunday lunch of lobster, fillet steak and Champagne. Menus at Cowdray Park Polo Club and the House will be sourced from local seasonal produce and West Sussex wine producers will feature at match day events.
You are guaranteed Lawns Enclosure & grandstand seats with access to the iconic Lawns polo field for the treading of divots at half time.
