There are so many reasons to come and stay at Park House in summer during ‘the season’.
The Chelsea Flower Show traditionally marks the beginning of the season, but instead of fighting the crowds in Chelsea, visit some great local gardens at West Dean, Woolbeding or Parham House. Next comes the Epsom Derby but nearer to home we have what many claim to be the most beautiful racecourse in the world; Goodwood, with its twenty days of top class flat racing between May to October.
After that it’s the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London but closer to Park House in Chichester is the Pallant House Gallery and the Cass Sculpture Foundation which offer a whole summer of art, sculpture and exhibitions. In July, the Wimbledon Championships come round again but this is one fixture which our guests can enjoy at Park House as we have two superb quality grass tennis courts to play on whilst keeping up with all the action in SW19!
Only five minutes from Park House guests can attend Cowdray Park Polo Club’s Gold Cup Tournament Final when polo teams from around the world compete for this prestigious international cup. The concluding event to the season has always been Cowes Week in the Isle of Wight, but much closer to Park House is the fabulous Chichester Harbour which offers Harbour Water Tours and a myriad of sailing and water sports activities to enjoy. Or for those just wanting a great day out at the beach, the nearby Wittering Beach is hard to beat on a sunny summer’s day!
