Park House Hotel & Spa in Sussex has become the latest property to join the Pride of Britain Hotels consortium.
Our country house hotel, situated in ten acres of grounds near Midhurst, opened in the late 1940s by Ioné and Michael O’Brien, and has been in the family ever since.
The hotel contains 21 bedrooms, spa, restaurant, tennis courts, short golf course and croquet lawn.
It had been an ambition of the hotel’s owner to join Pride of Britain for a number of years and he was delighted to have now been accepted into the consortium.
Aside from the hotel, there are also three adjacent cottages – South Down, Baytree and Polo – which can be used for exclusive use or private hire.
The spa is home to two swimming pools, outdoor and indoor, sun terrace, jacuzzi, saunas and steam rooms, gym and fitness studio, plus four treatment rooms.
The 5 bubble spa saw treatments up 30% on the previous year.
Speaking on the new addition, Peter Hancock, chief executive, Pride of Britain Hotels, says: “We’re thrilled to welcome Park House into the collection, bringing us even closer to our self-imposed limit of 50 hotels. It is a genuine example of a family-owned property that is loved by its many discerning guests.”
